Why is the RoboPop 60 More Expensive?

If looking at our machines based on the amount of seed they will pop hourly compared to the price, the RoboPop 60 seems like somewhat of an outlier. After all the RP60 pops 60lbs of seed per hour but costs more than the RP75 which pops 75lbs an hour.
This can be explained rather easily when you consider that most of our machines, the RP25, RP75 and RP220 all pop seed out of one hopper, and do not have the option to add oil or salt. While these machines can pop any type of seed, Butterfly or Mushroom, the pop the corn dry and you then would use other equipment to add oils, salts, seasoning, cheese coatings or caramel as desired.
On the other hand, the RP60 has two separate seed hoppers, one typically used for feeding Butterfly and one for Mushroom corn.
When you run this machine in Mushroom mode, it operates like the RP25/RP75/RP220 above. However, when you run the Butterfly mode, the RP60 drizzles melted oil of your choosing (most use yellow coconut oil, but it's up to you) onto the already popped corn and then sprays a light coating of salt or Favacol onto the popcorn at the very end of the process.
The rate of application for both oil and salt are adjustable, so you can make anything from a very lightly seasoned lower calorie popcorn all the way up to a heavy coating popcorn like you would expect from a movie theater.
The ability to operate in two separate popping modes (each optimized for the type of seed) along with a touch screen user interface and wide variety of easily customizable settings is what adds to the value, and cost of the RoboPop 75.
If you're just looking to pop dry corn that you will then coat or caramelize in separate equipment, then you don't need the extra features or cost of the RoboPop 60. On the other hand, if want a popper that will make all the delicious "ready-to-eat" butterfly popcorn you could need, and also make your dry Mushroom corn for post popping processing (savory mixes, cheese and caramel) then you'll find it hard to believe you ever popped any other way.
